Laser Treatment
Advanced Dermatology's highly trained staff can perform a variety of cosmetic treatments using 3 different lasers.
The Pixel CO2 Laser The Pixel CO2 Laser offers Pixel Perfect, an aesthetic procedure, utilizing fractional CO2 technology, that stimulates new collagen growth to improve the texture and tone of the skin. This laser procedure uses a special technique that reduces healing time from 30 days to usually 3 days or less. Because the healing time is reduced, there is also a lower risk of complications when compared to other lasers. In addition to these benefits, patients also choose the Pixel CO2 laser because it helps to clear sun damaged skin, smooth wrinkles, shrink the appearance of pores, fill in acne scars and blend uneven pigmentation. Noticeable results are often seen in as little as one treatment.
The Harmony XL Laser The Harmony XL Laser is a multi-platform laser used to treat many cosmetic skin conditions. A variety of different hand pieces allow for treating different problem areas.
-Q-switched 532nm used for tatoo removal
-ND:Yag 1064nm used for leg veins
-Excimer 308nm used for psoriasis and vitiligo
-Near Infrared Tissue Tightening (similar to Titan™) used to firm up the skin
-Urbium Pixel 2940nm (similar to Fraxel™) used for fine wrinkles, mild scar reduction and skin resurfacing
-Advanced Flourescent Technology (AFT). This technology is similar to Intense Pulse Light (IPL), but uses a cooler light source, resulting in less discomfort than traditional IPL machines. Used to treat brown or discolored lesions and acne. After the procedure patients will feel and look like they have a sunburn on the treated area, but this will diminish after 5-10 days. Brown spots will also get darker and individually slough off, leaving behind rejuvenated skin. Treatment may take 3-6 sessions and requires minimal down time.
The Diolite 532 Laser This laser is used for removing tiny blood vessels and non-cancerous pigmented blemishes. Most vessels will disappear during the treatment, leaving diffused redness. Some larger vessels may only be reduced in size. If necessary, additional laser treatments will be performed 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. This is a quick and simple procedure with minimal postprocedural care. Follow-up appointments will be made for the patients one month after the treatment.
